The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Peter Augustine Lawler of Lindale. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Donald Schnuck of Paducah, Ky. and Mrs. Patricia Lawler and the late Mr. Thomas Comerford Lawler of Potomac Falls, Va. She graduated from Darlington School in 2001, from Oglethorpe University in 2005, and from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2008. She is serving as Staff Attorney for the Hon. John J. Goger of the Fulton County Superior Court.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wesley Jackson of Chickamauga. He is the grandson of Mrs. Ruth Jackson and the late Mr. Arthur King Jackson, and Mrs. Polly Wooten and the late Mr. Trin Augustus Wooten Jr., all of Chickamauga. His brother is Mr. Christopher Jackson of Lexington, Ky. He graduated from Gordon Lee Memorial High School in 1998, from Shorter College in 2002, and from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2009. He is serving as a law clerk to the Hon. Cindy Morris of the Whitfield County Superior Court.
Rev. Warren Jones performed the double ring ceremony. Mrs. David Dellinger, godmother of the bride, provided a program of wedding music including “Sunrise, Sunset,” “Perhaps Love,” “Ashokan Farewell,” Bach’s “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring,” and Pachelbel’s “Canon in D.”
The bride, given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, wore a dress of ivory silk chiffon. The empire style dress featured a pleated chiffon bodice with a deep v neckline and a softly gathered skirt accented with ivory rosettes. She carried a bouquet of blue iris, pink gerbera daisies and lilies tied with an ivory ribbon. She wore pearl earrings and a diamond and pearl necklace, gifts of her parents.
After the ceremony, dinner was served to the wedding party and guests. The couple took a wedding trip to Hilton Head and Savannah.
