Four charged with string of thefts in Walker, Catoosa counties

Four people have been arrested and charged with 11 thefts in Walker County and three thefts in Catoosa County.

According to Walker County sheriff Steve Wilson:

The value of the stolen property is approximately $10,000. The property included metals and HVAC units.

The target areas included residences, businesses, and a church.

Arrested and charged with felony thefts were: Jason Lamar Guffey, 26, of Chickamauga; Jimmy Lavern Guffey, 29, of Rock Spring; Roy Gene Hancock, 28, of Rock Spring; and Melisa Renea Massengale, 29, of Chickamauga.

The Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office and LaFayette Police Department assisted the Walker County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation.
