Fourteen year-old Lauren Suddeth of Rossville took home top honors in the Lake Winne Talent Search competition with her vocal performance of Carrie Underwood’s “Flat On The Floor."
All of the performing arts turned out for the competition. In the end, the top acts from the three preliminary rounds competed in the finals Aug. 30 for the grand prize which included $500 and the chance to open for Confederate Railroad Sept. 6 on Lake Winnepesaukah’s Jukebox Junction Stage. The runner-up at the final show was fifteen year-old Laura Plastar of Ringgold. Plastar sang Kellie Pickler’s “I Wonder” and received $250.
