Several area teams have been ranked in the Georgia Association Coaches' Poll for this week.

In basketball, Gordon Lee is enjoying having both teams ranked in the top 10 for the first time in recent memory. The Lady Trojans, 14-1 overall, 3-0 in Region 6-A play and winners of 13 straight games, are ranked second this week in Class A, equalling the highest-ever ranking for a Gordon Lee girls' basketball team. The Lady Trojans were ranked No. 2 one year ago.

The Trojan boys have won four in a row and check in at No. 10 this week. They currently sit at 11-4 overall and 3-0 in region play.

The only other area ranked boys' team is Coosa who fell to No. 7 in Class AA this week after beiing ranked third last week.

Four more area girls' teams are ranked, three from Region 6-AA. Dade County remains at No. 2, Armuchee is No. 7 while Model is No. 9. Northwest Whitfield remains at No. 4 in Class AAAA.

In wrestling, Regions 7-AAAA and 6-AA dominates the polls as usual. Ringgold again takes the top spot in Class AAAA with Woodland fourth, LFO sixth, Murray County ninth and Southeast Whitfield tenth.

In Class AA, Calhoun is No. 1, LaFayette No. 6, Pepperell No. 7, Darlington No. 8, Armuchee No. 9 and Rockmart is tied for No. 10. Trion checks in at No. 9 in Class A
