I appreciate Jeannie Babb Taylor’s response to the scathing homeschool articles by Sue Mason. Mrs. Taylor has the right idea about the true nature of homeschooling. Mrs. Mason, on the other hand, stated in another article that if she had three or four elementary-aged children, she would make sure they go to school, "year-round, if possible, just to have someone else take care of them for awhile." Obviously, even the advocates of public school can see that it’s merely a large daycare, at best.
