Southern hospitality

Dear editor:

The Children’s Advocacy Center of the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit recently gave a four- day training on understanding and investigating child abuse. Those in attendance were members of our multidisciplinary investigative teams from Catoosa and Walker counties plus child abuse investigators from Tennessee and across the state of Georgia. Terry Thomas and Al Danna, from the Institute of Child Advocacy, who are active agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, were the instructors.

Even though I am proud of the training we facilitated, I wanted to take a moment to commend the staff at the Colonnade for a job well done. We had very positive feedback on both the training and the Colonnade from our participants. Tracy Pursley and Cliff White not only saw to all our needs, they anticipated them and made us all welcome and comfortable. They made sure that everything went off without a hitch. Thank you Tracy and Cliff. Catoosa County should be proud of this facility and their staff. They are truly ambassadors for Catoosa County and certainly showed our participants what good old Southern hospitality is about. Thank you again, both Catoosa County and the Colonnade for helping to make our training successful.

Ione Sells

executive director, CAC-LMJC
