Dear editor:

I wanted to thank each of the relayers for helping make our Battlefield Relay For Life event a great success this year. Our cancer survivors had a great time and enjoyed their celebration. Special thanks to those hardcore relayers that stayed and relayed all night with us. Cancer never sleeps, and neither do we.

Thank you relay teams, volunteers and committee members for working so hard and being dedicated to helping find a cure for cancer. It’s through your dedicated efforts that together, one day very soon, we will find a cure. It’s through your dedication and compassion that gives our cancer survivors hope for a cure.

Please keep in mind our relay year isn’t over just yet. We can still fundraise until the end of August. So — fundraise, fundraise, fundraise. We can make our goal, I know we can. We have several other relay fundraisers going on in the community to watch for. You can find these fundraisers posted at www.relayforlife.org/catoosa/walker. Please attend these fundraisers if possible and help support your other relay teams. If your relay team is planning any fundraisers, please go to the website and post it for others to see.

We can’t give up now. We have to keep going — cancer doesn’t give up easily, so we can’t either.
