Two young boys were killed and two other people were seriously injured Friday morning when a GMC Envoy collided with a tractor-trailer in Murray County near the Gordon County line.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the driver of the GMC Envoy failed to stop at a stop sign on U.S. 411 and struck a tractor-trailer traveling east on GA 136. The front seat passenger and right rear seat passenger, identified only as juvenile males, were killed. The driver, who has not been identified, was the mother of the two children killed, according to the state patrol. Both the driver and the third passenger, also a young boy identified as a relative of the driver, were taken to Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton.
