The victim told police she arrived home to find her back door kicked in and two guns missing.
She said a 30-30 rifle belonging to her ex-brother-in-law was taken, along with a .22-caliber rifle that belongs to her nephew.
The victim could not provide serial numbers for the stolen weapons at the time of the report.
The case was turned over to detective Daniel Thacker.
· Between 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4, a residential burglary occurred at on North Center Street in Rossville, resulting in the theft of approximately $1,000 worth of jewelry from the home.
The victim told police that while she was away during the day, someone entered the home through the back door and took several articles of jewelry from her bedroom.
She said the back door of the home was left unlocked, and there were no signs of forced entry.
Four gold rings, a bracelet, a necklace, and a pair of earrings were reportedly taken during the incident.
The case was turned over to detective Ronald Roach.
