According to Rossville Police Department reports:
Patricia Henderson of Burdette Road in Birchwood, Tenn., was arrested at Longley’s Pharmacy on Aug. 6 at 4 p.m. after trying to purchase oxycodone by adding it to a prescription.
The pharmacist had verified with the prescribing doctor that the prescription was for Ambien.
The woman had two prescriptions on her when questioned by officers: one for 30 tablets of Ambien and another for 20 tablets of Bactrim.
Henderson allegedly added the 75-count 15-milligram oxycodone pills to the Ambien prescription and attempted to have it filled.
She then stated she was unaware that the addition of a narcotic had been made to the prescription. She said her son dropped her off at the location.
Officers determined that Henderson drove herself to the location in a silver 2005 Mercedes Kompressor, which was in the parking lot and later towed.
The officer’s inventory of the vehicle included “several different pill bottles and pills inside the vehicle.”
Henderson faces two misdemeanor counts of attempting to obtain dangerous drugs by fraud, forgery or concealment.
