FBI agents and members of the Northwest Georgia Safe Child Task Force made an arrest Monday after a man allegedly traveled to Ringgold with plans to have sex with a minor child.

According to FBI agent Brian D. Lamkin:

Justin Ricks, 27, of Dunwoody, Ga., was arrested Monday, July 6, and faces state charges of attempted aggravated child molestation, child molestation, and violation of the child pornography act.

Ricks’ arrest comes after he garnered the attention of undercover officers on the Internet, and then traveled to Ringgold to attempt to meet with a fictitious minor child for the purposes of having sex, reports show.
