Between 3 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. on Friday, June 8, a forced-entry burglary occurred on Ooltewah-Ringgold Road in Ringgold, resulting in the theft of nearly $900 worth of merchandise from the home.

The victim told police that someone broke into her entrance through the carport area.

The burglar entered the porch door at the carport and then broke the kitchen door to gain access.

Several dresser drawers had been opened and rummaged through, with the burglar taking jewelry boxes, several articles of jewelry, and a Bible.

The case was turned over to detective Alan Miles.
