The Walker County Chamber of Commerce will host a political candidates forum June 19 at the Walker County Civic Center in Rock Spring at 6:30 p.m. The free event is open to the public.

All local candidates who qualified for the July 31 primary election are invited to participate. These races include but are not limited to county commissioner, sheriff, Georgia state representative (District 1), tax commissioner, probate judge, magistrate judge, Walker County school board (District 1) and district attorney. Candidates should arrive at 6 p.m. for registration.

Participating candidates will present their responses to questions prepared by the Chamber’s governmental affairs committee. Once these questions have been answered, the candidates will have a rebuttal opportunity.
