COMMUNITY · The 33rd annual Karen Lawrence Run benefitting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will be held New Year’s Eve, beginning at the Sports Barn in downtown Chattanooga. Registration starts at 4 p.m. The 2-mile fun run/walk begins at 5 p.m. and the 4-mile run starts at 5:30 p.m.

COMMUNITY · LaFayette’s annual “Amazing Christmas” lights show will continue through Monday, Jan. 2, at Joe Stock Memorial Park. Spectators may enjoy the state-of-the-art, synchronized musical light show daily from 6-10 p.m. at the park on North Main Street, next to the Public Safety Department building. Spectators will be able to tune their car radios to a designated station to hear the music inside their car. Shows are free to the public.
