Justin Lee Gilbreath and Kara Lynn Newby were united in marriage on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at Second Baptist Church in LaFayette at 1 p.m.

The bride is the daughter of Sharon Lynn Newby of LaFayette. Her grandfather, Othell Tucker, gave the bride away. The groom is the son of Timothy Franklin Gilbreath and Amber Leticia Gilbreath of LaFayette. The officiating minister for the ceremony was Rev. Mike Peterson.

Sister of the bride, Kelsey Newby, was the maid of honor. Brittany Littlejohn, cousin of the bride, Jordan Hawkins and Brandi Brown, friends of the bride, all served as bridesmaids.

The father of the groom, Timothy Gilbreath, served as the best man. Groomsmen were Seth Gilbreath, brother of the groom, Melvin Johnson, stepbrother of the groom, and Joel Cross and Dustin Quinn, both friends of the groom.

Following the ceremony, the reception was at the LaFayette Golf & Country Club.

The couple will reside at Fort Bragg in North Carolina.
