The North Georgia Youth Football League will host its annual All-Star Game on Saturday, Dec. 3 at Gordon Lee High School.

The 6 and 7-year-old game will begin the action at 11 a.m., followed by the 8 and 9-year-old game at 1 p.m. and the 10 and 11-year-old game at 3 p.m.

The NGYFL has eight member agencies, which are divided into North and South divisions for all-star purposes. Players from Ringgold, Lakeview-Ft. Oglethorpe, Chickamauga, and Chattanooga Valley recreation associations make up the North division while players from Rock Spring, LaFayette, Trion, and Summerville make up the South division.

The head coach with the best overall league record in each division is selected to be the head coach with all remaining head coaches serving as assistants on the all-star team. The head coach must fill out a roster of 22 players and each team must be represented with at least two players. There are mandatory position requirements that also must be considered when selecting the all-star team.

As a reward for being selected to the all-star game, each player is allowed to keep his all-star jersey, which was purchased by the league.
