COMMUNITY · The LaFayette-Walker County Public Library Board of Trustees will meet Monday, Oct. 24, at 4 p.m. at the La Fayette-Walker County Public Library’s temporary location (1105 North Main Street).

CHURCH · New Bethel Baptist Church at 1635 Salem Valley Road, Ringgold, will host a revival Oct. 24-28. Josh Williams will be the evangelist. Special singing nightly. Services start at 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday, Oct. 25

COMMUNITY · Georgia Commissioner of Labor Mark Butler will address the Walker County Chamber of Commerce Tuesday, Oct. 25, at their monthly membership luncheon. During the event Walmart of LaFayette will also be featured as they showcase their products in a special ‘Christmas in October’ presentation. The cost to attend is $15 for chamber members and $25 for non-members. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. with the program beginning at 11:50 a.m. RSVPs are required by emailing info@walkercochamber.com or calling 706-375-7702. The deadline to register is Monday, October 24 at 10 a.m.

COMMUNITY · The Brown Bag Book Club at the LaFayette-Walker County Public Library will be discussing the book “The Help” by Kathleen Stockett Tuesday, Oct. 25, from noon to 1:30 p.m. This group is for adults who love to read and discuss what they have read with others. Participants should pack their lunch and drop by anytime between 12 and 1:30 p.m. for good company and conversation.

COMMUNITY · The Rossville Public Library Board of Trustees will meet Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 4:30 p.m. at the Rossville Public Library.

COMMUNITY · The Northwest Georgia Regional Commission’s area agency advisory council will hold its regular business meeting Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to noon at Thornton Recreation Center, 102 N. Floyd Road in Armuchee, across from Armuchee High School. The meeting is open to the public.
