Ringgold police are trying to locate a Dalton man wanted for false imprisonment after he allegedly handcuffed himself to his co-worker at the Ringgold Taco Bell Monday night.

According to the Ringgold Police Department:

Officers responded to the Taco Bell at 5422 Ga. 151 (Alabama Highway) at approximately 9:05 p.m. Monday in reference to the incident, in which an off-duty employee handcuffed himself to an 18-year-old female employee who was attempting to leave work.

Jason Earl Dean, 24, of 2228 Roadrunner Place in Dalton is now wanted by Ringgold police on a charge of false imprisonment.

The victim told police that Dean has been trying “go out” with her for approximately a month, and that when she walked out to her car at the end of her shift, he pulled up next to her and handcuffed himself to her as she at-tempted to get into her vehicle.

The victim stated that Dean did let her go when multiple co-workers approached them after hearing her scream out.

Several co-workers and management witnessed the two handcuffed to one another against the victim’s will.

Dean, who is also believed to be a volunteer firefighter in Dalton, Ga., was seen leaving the restaurant in a green Nissan Exterior SUV with tag number Ga. BDA 4561.
