Several local teams will be vying for state titles in 10 different divisions.
The 8-year-old baseball "A" tournament will be held at Edwards Park off Cleveland Highway in Dalton.
The Chickamauga Trojans will open play against the Whitfield Vipers on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. The Ringgold Tigers and LaFayette Ramblers will begin their tournament runs on Saturday at 10 a.m. Ringgold will face the Acworth Warriors while LaFayette will battle the Wills Park Eagles.
The championship game is scheduled for Wednesday at 6 p.m.
The 8-year-old baseball "B" tournament will be held in Rome.
The American bracket will see Rossville face Kennesaw Red at 9 a.m. on Saturday while Boynton will play against Paulding County on Saturday at noon.
The championship game is scheduled for Wednesday at 7 p.m.
The LFO Recreation Association on Barnhardt Circle in Fort Oglethorpe will play host to the 10-year-old baseball "A" and "B" tournaments.
In the "A" division, LFORA will square off with Jackson County at 6 p.m. on Friday while Boynton will face Sandy Springs at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
"B" division action will see LFORA take on the Oregon Park Titans while Ringgold will match up with the Eastside Thunder. Both games will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday. Chickamauga will open with Acworth at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
The championship games for both divisions will be played at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
LaFayette will carry the banner for the area in the 12-year-old baseball "A" tournament at the Carroll County Recreation Department. They will take on White County in their opener at 6 p.m. on Friday.
The championship game is scheduled for Tuesday at 6 p.m.
The four-team Senior division will be played at Boynton beginning on Saturday.
The Boynton Generals will face Rome at 10 a.m. while the Boynton Bulldogs will take on Canton at 12:30 p.m.
The championship game is set for Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
The Junior division tournament was cancelled.
Chickamauga is gearing up to host four different Dizzy Dean State softball tournaments, all beginning on Friday.
Boynton will battle for the 8-under tournament title. They open against Bartow Blue at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
The championship game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Three Walker County teams will be among those vying for the 10-under state crown.
Rossville and Chickamauga will face each other in the tournament opener on Friday at 7:30 p.m. Rock Spring opens on Saturday at 9 a.m. against the winner of Friday's game between Union County and Jackson County.
The champion will be crowned at 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Another Walker County trio will play for a state banner in the 12-under division.
The Chickamauga Misfits host Jackson County at 6 p.m. on Friday while Chattanooga Valley and Towns County will square off on Friday at 7:30 p.m. The Chickamauga Heat will face the Chickamauga Misfits-Jackson County winner at 9 a.m. on Saturday in their tournament opener.
The championship game will be played on Sunday at 4 p.m.
And finally, the 14-under title will be decided in a best-of-three series between Boynton and Commerce.
The opening game will be played Friday at 7 p.m. with the second game slated for 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. A third game, if needed, will be immediately following Game 2.
