A Walker County fireman and EMT has been arrested for attempting to solicit a minor for sex.

According to Gregory Jones, special agent in charge with the FBI office in Atlanta, and on behalf of the Northwest Georgia Crimes Against Children Task Force:

Rocky Davis Jr., 21, an EMT and fireman for Walker County, was arrested Friday, Oct. 30, on state charges related to attempting to solicit a minor child for sex.

Davis traveled to Catoosa County after having engaged undercover officers/agents of the FBI’s Northwest Georgia Crimes Against Children Task Force in a series of chats on the Internet.

Davis is in jail at the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Department jail.

The Northwest Georgia Crimes Against Children Task Force consists of federal agents from the FBI and officers from the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office, Dalton Police Depart-ment, Dade County Sheriff’s Office, Rossville Police Department and the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office.
