The Center for Earthquake Research and Information (CERI) in Memphis, Tenn., charted two magnitude 2.0 earthquakes that hit early Friday morning just outside of Ringgold.

Both minor quakes occurred about four miles southwest of Ringgold, with the first striking at 3:57 a.m. Eastern time, and the second following behind at 4:26 a.m.

The first quake was charted to have a hypo-central depth of 6.3 miles, while the second occurred at a depth of 7.8 miles.

Both quakes were categorized as being in “poor” quality.

I look here every morning...

http://quakes.globalincidentmap.com/

Thats where I saw the EQ's yesterday morning. I clicked on "satellite" and zoomed in on them. They were just off of Alabama Highway. If you were traveling west on Alabama Highway with downtown Ringgold to your back, just as you pass Mount Pisgah road on your right they were to the left.

I wondered why I didn't see them reported on locally. Talked to friends that live out there and can't find anyone that was aware it had happened.
