Four arrests were made during the final night of Ringgold's annual “Haunted Depot” on Saturday, Oct. 27, with charges that included obstruction of officers, underage drinking, and drug possession.

According to the Ringgold Police Department:

Steffon Kendrick Rogers, 17, Santa Juan Cortez Jones, 23, April Renne Gore, 24, and Lindsay Kaye Skinner were arrested on Oct. 27.

Rogers, Jones, and Gore were charged with possession of marijuana (less than one ounce) and subsequent additional charges, while Skinner was arrested on two active warrants from Chattanooga, Tenn.

All four offenders have been released on bond from Catoosa County jail.

The arrests came after police located the quartet in the gravel parking lot adjacent to the Ringgold Depot along with the smell of burnt marijuana.

“I could smell the odor of marijuana coming from parking lot,” said assistant chief Greg Wingo. “I walked over and located three cars that appeared to be together. I saw the first offender, Kendrick Rogers, drinking a beer in a glass bottle, and then throw it into the back seat of the vehicle upon seeing me.”

Questioning of the group then ensued, with Jones running from police after marijuana was found in his pocket following a pat down, reports show.

“I told Jones he was under arrest and attempted to place the handcuffs on him when he broke away and ran towards City Hall on foot,” Wingo said. “He (Jones) was then located in the bushes between two houses at Tennessee and High Streets.”

Jones was transported to the Catoosa County jail by officer Wilborn Dycus, who had to stop and open the back door on two occasions so that Jones could vomit, reports show.

Neither Gore nor Rogers would admit to owning a marijuana “blunt” that was near one of the vehicles, therefore both were charged with possession.

Gore was also charged with furnishing alcohol to a minor due to Rogers drinking a beer in her car when assistant chief Wingo first confronted the group, reports show.

After Gore and Rogers were arrested, Gore asked police if her vehicle could be turned over to Lindsay Skinner.

“I asked Skinner for her driver's license before releasing her with the vehicle so make sure that she was a valid driver,” Wingo said. “She said that her license was in her purse, which she didn't have with her. Catoosa 911 then advised that she had two active warrants through Chattanooga.”

Rogers and Jones each garnered an additional charge of obstruction of law enforcement officers.

All four offenders were transported to Catoosa County jail without further incident.
