The city of Ringgold currently has surplus equipment up for bid as part of a 10-day online auction that is underway until Thursday, Aug. 23.

The online auction is being held through GovDeals.com, a liquidity services marketplace where customers can place their bids for various items.

Ringgold’s auction currently consists of six items, including a Bobcat 773, a 1994 Ford F-350, a 1986 Chevrolet D30 military truck, a John Deere lawn tractor, a 1987 Chevrolet van, and a 1994 Chevrolet Lumina.

“We’ve participated in GovDeals auctions in the past and it’s a good way for people acquire surplus equipment through a bidding process,” said city manager Dan Wright.

Bidding on the available items will close at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23.

More information about the auction can be found online at http://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?type=k&fa=Main.KeywordSearch&f_Item=ringgold.
