The second year of the Expo is expected to be bigger and better than last year’s inaugural event.
“We’re really excited about this year’s expo, and we’re looking forward to showcasing all the businesses in the area that contribute to great southern weddings,” said Daniel Shepard, marketing and DDA coordinator for the city of Ringgold. “The expo is no different from any other event. You work at it, you tweak things here and there, and you try to improve on it every year. Last year’s expo was great for the city and it was extremely successful for a new event. We’re trying to build on that and look forward to making the event progressively better every year.”
The event will feature local florists, bakeries, caterers, dress boutiques and tuxedo shops, wedding/event plan-ners, photographers, venues, bridal jewelry and gifts, and more.
“We’re slated to have more vendors than last year, and we will have plenty of samples for various caterers,” Shepard said.
Expo-goers will also be able to see live modeling of wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and tuxedos.
“It’s a great event not only for the Depot, but for the entire town,” Shepard said. “With all the folks that we’re expected to have here for the expo, it’ll give them the opportunity to get ideas and find the things they need for their big day while bringing business to all the vendors who have so many great services to offer. We received a lot of great feedback from vendors who were involved with last years event, and they all jumped at the chance to be a part of it again this year.”
The free admission event will run from noon to 4 p.m. and will include door prizes and free samples.
