The victim told police he arrived home from work to find that someone had kicked in the back door of his home and taken several items from within.
A digital camera with accessories, a videogame console, a 43-inch plasma television, and multiple articles of jewelry were among the items reported stolen during the incident.
Approximately $20 in assorted coins was also reported missing after a scan of the residence was completed.
The victim was able to produce an itemized list of all the stolen property for police, and the case was turned over to detective Timothy Busby.
· Between Tuesday, June 12, and Thursday, June 14, a forced-entry residential burglary occurred on Indian Mounds Road in Ringgold, resulting in the theft of more than $1,800 worth of goods from the home.
The victim told police he arrived at the residence to check his mail and noticed water leaking from under his garage door.
He also stated that when he opened his garage door, he saw his washing machine lying on its side with parts broken off of it.
It was discovered that a dryer had been taken and that the water was running from the faucets behind the washing machine.
Entry into the home was obtained when the offender(s) accessed a previously broken garage window.
The victim stated that window had been broken at an earlier day, and that a piece of plywood had been placed in the frame with a scrap piece of counter top covering it.
Multiple Craftsman tools, a bicycle, a lawnmower, and several yard tools were also reported missing from the home in addition to the dryer.
The case was turned over to detective Timothy Busby.
