A fatal wreck on Interstate-75 southbound had all lanes blocked for approximately four hours due to roadway damage.

According to a report from the Gordon County Sheriff's Office:

The wreck that killed one man occurred around 4:30 a.m.

"The victim was a male individual from Indiana," said the report. "Identification is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin."

Heavy equipment from a tractor-trailer involved in the wreck damaged the roadway, causing the highway to be closed for a long period of time.
